Digital misting timer
What is a digital misting timer?
A digital misting timer, also known as a misting controller, uses digital technology to operate the misting solenoid. These timers differ from the older mechanical misting timers in many ways, a few being:
- There are no moving parts
- They are more accurate
- They take up much less space
- They can control multiple beds ( also known as zones) (DIG 5006-IP)
- They have a battery that will retain the program in the event of a power failure
- They convert household voltage to low voltage electricity, making them much safer (DIG 5006-IP)
- They can run on batteries, eliminating the need for electricity (DIG 710.075)
As well as the previous, thay also are much less expensive than the two timers needed when building the mechanical timer controlled misting system.
